Forecast
Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia will play a much more significant role in the future EU agrochemical market and will, together, immediately contribute 11% of the EU-25 total of €6,668 million. The other six member states will make only a negligible contribution.

France has been the dominant market in the EU-15 with around one third of total agrochemical sales.

Herbicides with 42% in 2002 will be the most important sector of the agrochemical market in the EU-25, followed by fungicides 36% and insecticides 14%.
