In hot water: EPA

A coalition of US farm worker and public interest groups has filed a lawsuit against the EPA over the re-registration of the organophosphate insecticide, chlorpyrifos. The groups claim that the Agency had insufficient data to make its re-registration decision last year and failed to conduct a complete risk/benefit analysis. Similar charges were levelled against the EPA earlier this year over the re-registration of chlorpyrifos, azinphos-methyl and phosmet (Agrow No 514, p 13)....
