Rimsulfuron is protected by a DuPont patent in China

DuPont has reached a settlement in a patent infringement case against the Chinese company, Jiangsu Trustchem Chemicals, over the herbicide, rimsulfuron. DuPont initiated the lawsuit in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, earlier this year in response to Trustchem's sales of products containing rimsulfuron. The active ingredient is protected by a DuPont patent in China. Under the terms of the settlement, Trustchem will pay undisclosed compensation and make a public apology to DuPont for losses resulting from its actions.
