European biotechnology companies have called on the region's regulatory authorities to provide greater support for genetically modified crops within and outside the EU.
Regulators must fully implement the EU registration process for GM crops and provide coherent policies in this area, says the European biotechnology industry association, EuropaBio. It puts forward several recommendations to improve EU procedures in an industry "Green Biotechnology Manifesto" launched this month....
