The Spanish agrochemical market barely recovered last year after a large fall in 2005.
Sales rose by 2.6% to Euro 555.7 million ($442.9 million), according to the Spanish agrochemical association, AEPLA. Volume sales were flat. Spain suffered its biggest sales drop in years in 2005, down by 13.8% partly due to falling prices (Agrow No 492, p 10). The association believes that the data indicate structural concerns that have a larger and more persistent role in the market than weather conditions....
