Canadian federal and provincial pesticide regulatory officials have proposed the establishment of two classes of home and garden pesticides based on potential risks to users and the environment. The current domestic class of pesticides would be subdivided into "self-select" and "controlled purchase" products. The former would be suitable for unrestricted domestic sale and the latter would have to be sold by a certified vendor....
