BASF is advancing its crop protection products and services in central and south-eastern Europe to capture the region's "accelerating" demand. "To continue our expansion in the region, we have started making substantial investments in our sales and advisory network," says head of middle and south-eastern European operations, Gibfried Schenk. He adds that the company's growth in the region has "exceeded" expectations. In April, BASF's executive director of agricultural products, Peter Oakley, labelled the region as an upcoming growth area and its countries "key focal points" in BASF's growth strategy....
