The Brazilian authorities have delayed until late April a vote on whether to authorise for the first time the marketing of genetically modified maize.
The national technical commission for biosafety, the CTNBio, held a public meeting to discuss issues surrounding the possible commercialisation of GM maize in late March (Agrow No 514, p 15). It was due to vote on Bayer CropScience's application for the marketing of its GM glufosinate-tolerant LibertyLink maize line within days of the meeting....
