BASF has launched the cockroach bait, Subterfuge (hydramethylnon), in Japan. The product shows superior efficacy through its excellent intake by the pest and is also effective against cockroaches that have an aversion to other baits, BASF says.

Unlike spray-type products, the gel-based bait technology can be used safely where people and pets reside, it adds. Subterfuge is positioned as a strategic product in BASF's public health portfolio. The product was granted registration under Japan's pharmaceutical affairs law in January and will be sold through Hoto Shoji (Tokyo)...
