Sales of Monsanto's Roundup Ready alfalfa have been suspended in the US

A US judge has ordered a permanent injunction banning the sale of Monsanto's glyphosate-tolerant Roundup Ready alfalfa seed. The injunction will remain in place until the USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service prepares an environmental impact statement (EIS) and makes a deregulation decision. Judge Charles Breyer of the US District Court for the Northern District of California issued a preliminary injunction in March before hearing oral arguments in the case (Agrow No 516, p 11)....
