| CropLife Asia's training programme in China focused on proper pesticide use |
Chinese farmers around Guanghan city, Sichuan province, have reduced their production costs and improved safety standards, following an industry-led training programme in 2006 on proper pesticide use. After the programme, 61% of trained farmers reduced their pesticide bills by an average of 17%, agrochemical industry association CropLife Asia says. The successful results have prompted the local government to support an extension of the project to other areas....
