| Drop in BASF sales reflects recent divestitures |
Divestitures of large parts of its generics business and currency effects led to a 3.3% decline in BASF's agrochemical sales to Euro 897 million ($1,223 million) in the first quarter of 2007. BASF sold its US off-patent pesticide business, Micro Flo (Memphis, Tennessee), early last year (Agrow No 494, p 3). It also divested its global Counter (terbufos) insecticide/nematicide business and the Lock 'n Load closed delivery system at the end of 2006 (Agrow No 509, p 1)....
