Ready for Asia

Monsanto has received approvals for its second-generation genetically modified glyphosate-tolerant Roundup Ready 2 Yield (formerly Roundup RReady2Yield) soybeans in Japan, the Philippines and Taiwan. The approvals represent significant progress towards commercialisation, Monsanto says. Last year, the US and Canadian authorities approved the GM soybeans (Agrow No 526, p 22). Applications are still under review in the EU, China and other key export markets....
