New GM law approved

The German lower house, the Bundestag, has approved proposals for a new law on genetically modified organisms. While the government aims for greater transparency and research, industry stakeholders have slammed the proposals, approved on January 25th, as damaging to German agriculture. The proposals were first formulated at the beginning of last year and sparked industry criticism early on (Agrow No 525, p 11)....
