No sweet deal

US environmentalists and organic crop growers are seeking to prevent the introduction of Monsanto/KWS Saat's genetically modified glyphosate-tolerant Roundup Ready sugar beet. Lawyers from Earthjustice and the Center for Food Safety have filed a lawsuit against the USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) over the deregulation of the GM crop in 2005 (Agrow No 469, p 15)....
