Preparing the ground for future c-operation

Delegates at the first global summit on minor pesticide uses called for greater efforts in the international harmonisation of maximum residue limits (MRLs), more focus on international crop groupings and the facilitation of data sharing. "The purpose of this summit is to develop a basis for future co-operation by focusing on a global agreement on pesticide policy, procedure and methodology," said Jerry Baron, executive director of the USDA's minor-use IR-4 programme. "The overriding goal of this co-operation is to promote free and fair trade between nations," he added....
