The European Commission has proposed detailed procedures for the resubmission of approval applications for active ingredients covered by the EU review of existing ais. The procedures would apply to ais that have been unsuccessful so far in gaining re-registration and a listing in Annex I of the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414). A "regular" procedure would apply to ais that were in the first round of the review, which allows more time to evaluate updates to old ai dossiers. However, an "accelerated" procedure would be available for ais in the second, third and fourth rounds of the review, where data is more up-to-date....
