The MEPS want the EC to reduce agrochemical use

The European Parliament has called on the European Commission to involve pesticide manufacturers in efforts to reduce agrochemical use and has urged greater co-operation with the EU's neighbours in the use of pesticides. The calls were made in a resolution adopted in October by the Parliament on the Commission's proposed thematic strategy on sustainable pesticide use. It followed voting the day before on a proposed pesticide use directive, which would implement the strategy, and on a planned revision of the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414 - Agrow No 530, p 8)....
