Brazil OKs Syngenta's Bt11 maize

Syngenta's Bt11 maize is approved

Brazil has provisionally approved Syngenta's genetically modified corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis)-resistant Bt11 maize for cultivation. The national technical biosafety commission, the CTNBio, approved the crop at its September meeting. The approval is the third Brazilian approval for a GM maize event in the past five months, following the approvals of Monsanto's corn borer-resistant MON810and Bayer CropScience's glufosinate-tolerant LibertyLink event (Agrow No 526, p 23)....
