Monsanto's maize gets the go-ahead

Argentina has approved for production and marketing Monsanto's genetically modified stacked trait maize, MGRR2 (NK603 x MON810). The line incorporates corn borer-resistant Maiz Gard (MG) and glyphosate-tolerant RoundupReady2 (RR2). The approval is the country's first for a double trait crop. It is also the first approval of a GM crop in Argentina since Syngenta gained the registration of its glyphosate-tolerant GA21 maize in August 2005 (Agrow No 479, p 22)....
