The PIPP scheme is being introduced in two phases

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has introduced a new system of pesticide data protection and compensation. The Protection of Proprietary Interests in Pesticide Data (PIPP) succeeds the Product Specific Registration II (PSRII) scheme, which has operated since 1987.
