Nissan Chemical recorded a 4.9% rise in agrochemical sales to ¥35,418 million ($345 million at the current rate) for its fiscal year ending March 31st 2013. United Phosphorus recorded an agrochemical sales rise of 20.1% to Rs 84,750 million ($1,570 million at the current rate) in its financial year ended March 31st 2013. Agrochemicals accounted for 91.2% of the company's total sales of Rs 92,940 million ($1,722 million), which grew by 19.7%. Italian agrochemical company Isagro (Milan) posted a 23% fall in agrochemical sales to some €30 million ($39.2 million at the current rate) in the first quarter of 2013. That included a 20% drop in sales of proprietary pesticides to €28 million ($36.6 million), while those of third-party products halved to €2 million ($2.6 million). The US company, Aceto (Lake Success, New York), recorded a 39.6% rise in crop protection sales to $5.8 million in the three months ended March 31st 2009. Sales for the first nine months of fiscal 2009 were up by 3.4% to $12.8 million. Third-quarter gross profit more than doubled to $1.8 million, while nine-month gross profit rose by 38.1% to $3.2 million. Cheminova recorded muted sales growth of 0.7% to DKK 1,437 million ($252 million at the current rate) in the first quarter of 2009. The increase was 3% at constant exchange rates.
