ABIC 2008 to be held in Ireland

The annual Agricultural Biotechnology International Conference (ABIC) is set to be held in Ireland in 2008.

The University College Cork will host the event, running from August 24th to 27th.

Primarily sponsored by Teagasc, the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority, the theme of the conference is Agricultural Biotechnology for a Competitive and Sustainable Future.

Present themes planned for discussion include Ag-biotech: the sustainability challenge facing society, Seed and reproductive biotechnology, Crop genomics and Ag-biotech and third world development.
