BAS800H: Chemical structure speculated

BASF recently announced that BAS800H is to be launched in either 2009 or 2010 in the US.

It is a PPO inhibitor that is suitable for use in maize and soybeans against broadleaf weeds such as waterhemp and giant ragweed, both of which have shown resistance to glyphosate. The timing and profile of the herbicide matches a family of chemistry that Agrow Intelligence has been tracking over the last two years. Furthermore, Agrow Intelligence has identified a candidate molecule that may be BAS800H.
