Product Development & Technical Support Manager, South Europe

This role will play an essential part in enabling the company to bring its distinctive product formulations to market, particularly for key crops such as corn, vegetables and vines in southern Europe and will also provide valuable technical support to the sales team in the region. Reporting principally to the Regional Manager South Europe, who is based in France, this position also has dotted line reporting into the EU Technical Services & Development Manager. The position will work closely with Rotam Europe’s EU regulatory team, external consultants and contract trials partners etc. An Agronomy or related degree is seen as essential, combined with solid product development and technical support experience in the agrochemical industry. The base of the position is flexible in southern Europe but fluent English is an absolute requirement.
Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, Central East Europe

Ideally based in either Poland, the Czech Republic or Hungary, this critical appointment will enable Rotam to build upon and extend its existing distributor relationships in the key countries of Central East Europe, which present exciting business development opportunities for the company’s growing product portfolio. Reporting to North Europe, Corporate and Regional Senior Management, the role will provide a high degree of autonomy as well as close involvement with European colleagues and the potential to develop a small regional team. A seasoned sales/marketing professional is sought, fluent in English and ideally with experience in more than one Central/East European market and with extensive technical and product knowledge.
Sales & Marketing Manager, France + Belgium

Reporting to the Regional Manager South Europe, the main responsibility of this senior sales and marketing position will be to promote and introduce Rotam’s products at different levels within the agricultural products markets of France and Belgium. This will require a strategic marketing approach combined with the development of good relationships at many levels of the market and keen negotiating skills to ensure profitable sales. The profile required is an Agro (Bio) Engineer level qualification combined with a proven sales/marketing track record in the crop protection sector and an excellent knowledge of crop types, products and applications throughout the region. Experience of managing and developing a small sales team is also desirable and fluent English and French are the essential languages.

Reporting to the North Europe Regulatory Affairs Lead, you will obtain and/or preserve Monsanto’s freedom to sell Roundup herbicide and other crop protection products in the Central European member states (primarily Poland, Hungary, Czech republic, Slovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria). You will ensure Monsanto’s products meet all regulatory requirements, including sign-off on product labels. You will be responsible for maintaining existing approvals and gain new registrations in Central EU Member States by preparing, submitting and managing “state of the art” dossiers in a timely manner. You will establish relationships with contractors and key regulators in your region. You will develop a sound knowledge of all pertinent regulatory l egi slation to support registration activities and identify critical freedom to operate issues. You will address new developments, including the implementation of the new Authorisation
Regulation and Zonal Registrations affecting the registration and sale of products. You will work closely with business & marketing colleagues to ensure alignment of regulatory and commercial goals. Based in Brussels and working closely with a fully integrated team of highly motivated colleagues in Europe, you will play a key role in the Central European member states. You report to the Regulatory Affairs Lead in Brussels.
Your key skills
You have a strong academic background (biology, ecotoxicology, environmental sciences or other related fields) with experience in the regulatory affairs domain for industry or the public sector. An understanding of pesticide labeling and product use and some knowledge of EU legislation and processes for pesticide authorization is an advantage. You have had the ability to effectively interact with Regulatory Authorities in different countries and present eloquent arguments in your area of work. You have a strong intercultural awareness. The ability to work with a multinational team, focusing on multiple issues under tight deadlines is very important in this position. Your spoken and written English is of a high standard.
Direct experience of the Central and Eastern European countries as well as speaking a major regional language is highly desirable. You are a team-player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are well organized and have strong IT skills. You are ready to move to Brussels and travel 25 % of your time.

We are seeking a Chemist to lead the Agrochemical Development Area, actively participating with the Production Plant, Registry Division and Quality Control Laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of agrochemicals in a wide spectrum of formulations.
- Develop products starting from a pilot scale, actively participating in the scale-up design process to successfully achieve industrial production.
- Supervise a team of chemists and technicians to develop new formulations of agrochemicals.
- Provide support about chemical issues related to crop protection and agrochemical application. Ocassionally participate in marketing activities as a speaker in chemistry applied to pest management topics.
Qualifications
- BSc. degree in Chemistry. Although not required, a MSc. or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry is desired.
- At least 10 years of practical experience in formulation development of agrochemical products.
- Excelent interpersonal relations, problem solving ability and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English. A good command of Spanish is a plus.
